The Warriors will take the floor for 20 games over October and November. You can find NBA blackout information here. National TV games on ESPN, TNT and NBA TV are carried on a number of streaming services including fuboTV, SlingTV, YouTube TV and Hulu+ Live Sports. Alternatively, you can choose a one-team pass that allows you to catch Warriors games. There are a variety of subscription options with League Pass including a full season package which includes every game live outside of your local market. If you live out of market, your best option is NBA League Pass. Unfortunately, if you live out of market, fuboTV won't carry the RSN. The good news is that fuboTV carries NBC Sports Bay Area, meaning you can watch every Warriors game live if you live in market. It is one of the most overlooked games in Rockstar's catalog, and it deserves a lot more attention considering its quality.If you don't have cable there are a few options for you to stream Warriors games throughout the 2021-22 season. Now that it's on PS4, the added Share Play functionality allows you to play it "Online", which is a great bonus. I don't think I've had a better co-op experience than the one I had with this game about a decade ago. Not only is a great experience on your own, it even has cooperative play for the entire story mode, and the competitive multiplayer modes are quite a lot of fun as well. The characters are better developed and the relationship between them is fleshed out, so when the climax comes, it's significantly more impactful than in the film. Hell, I'd definitely argue that it improves on the film because most of the game acts as a prequel to it.
That's the other major reason, the story, or better yet the writing of The Warriors is really good.
Other gangs play a major role in the film as opposition for The Warriors, and the game puts effort into setting up arcs involving rival gangs over the course of the rather lengthy story.
You do feel like part of a gang, and you're following their rise towards the top. Outside of the combat, there are other gameplay mechanics such as robbing stores and laying down tags, which further help in keeping things fresh and capturing the main essence of the movie. Many of your attacks feel like they pack a punch, and the throwing mechanic is disturbingly fun, whether you're throwing someone through a store window, or off a building. Primarily, it's a great brawler that has a simple yet satisfying combat system, and I do mean satisfying. In my eyes, The Warriors is the best movie licensed game ever made for a multitude of reasons.
